April 26, 2018, is that time again when companies throughout Germany open their doors to introduce girls to careers involving MINT subjects (Mathematics, Information technology, Natural sciences, and Technology). Girls’ Day is regarded as the world’s largest project for career guidance for girls.
On Girls’ Day, the young researchers of the future will gain an insight into everyday working life in the software industry. The girls are looked after by trainees at OPTIMAL SYSTEMS. Once again there’s an exciting program to introduce the girls to the tasks of the various professions with us in Berlin.
Hardware, Software, Pizza
The girls visit several stations. These include a role play as an IT systems professional, insights into the profession of a software developer, or the field of an IT specialist. Teamwork is required, for example, when assembling a computer together or working on advertising.
For lunch there’s delicious pizza. And, of course, there’s also the opportunity to get to know each other better during the lunch break while playing table football or games on the Wii.
