Release of yuuvis® RAD 10.0: Microsoft integration, dashboard extension, and new OCR service

OPTIMAL SYSTEMS presents a comprehensive update for the Rapid Application Development solution yuuvis® RAD. In particular, the current version 10.0 offers three special innovations that will enable users to work even more conveniently with the document management platform in the future.

Microsoft 365 Office integration

yuuvis® RAD version 10.0 now enables full integration with Microsoft 365 Office applications, allowing any Office document to be opened and edited directly from the ECM system in real time. Multiple users can edit the same document at the same time. The document is automatically archived in yuuvis® RAD in an audit-proof manner once the last member finishes editing.

Customizable dashboards

From now on, users can configure and redesign their yuuvis® RAD dashboard as needed. Various widgets are available for this purpose. These can provide information and up-to-date charts on a wide variety of data. This information is easily accessible and can be flexibly placed on the dashboard: personnel files, supplier invoices with gross amounts, and sales or numerous evaluations of archived documents.

Tesseract OCR, the new OCR service

Tesseract OCR is also available as a second text recognition service to ABBYY FineReader as of version 10.0. Tesseract OCR is a OCR engine that enables the extraction of printed or written text from images. The application supports speech recognition for more than one hundred languages and offers compatibility with numerous programming languages and frameworks.
