Manufacturer of special-purpose vehicles relies on company-wide ECM

Goldhofer AG is a globally recognized specialist in the complex field of combined transports. A wide range of vehicles for road, heavy-duty, and special transports covers the most varied requirements for every transport task. Goldhofer was looking for an IT solution to meet the increasing regulatory requirements for transport and complete documentation with regard to tax-relevant information. At the same time, the company was looking to simplify work processes, make business processes more transparent, and improve quality management. Today, Goldhofer has a company-wide ECM system that is used in numerous departments.

The software was introduced as part of a larger project launched to optimize the corporate IT landscape, which also included the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV®. An interface was set up to connect the two systems to enable document storage in the ECM repository and to reduce the load on the ERP solution. Right after its introduction, already 140 users had access to the new platform. This went a long way towards improving the availability of corporate knowledge. Information that used to be managed on paper by dedicated employees can now be retrieved and processed on any workstation. Better yet, all information is stored in accordance with legal obligations, and logs are stored reliably over the long term.

We greatly appreciate the flexibility of the OPTIMAL SYSTEMS software as it allows us to easily adapt the solution to the requirements and needs of our users.

Michael Feneberg, Application Developer and Project Manager, Goldhofer AG
