ECM for clinical and administrative use

Diakoniewerk Martha-Maria e. V. operates hospitals, senior citizens’ centres and other social facilities with a total of over 3,400 employees in six subsidiaries at ten locations. The Diakoniewerk has introduced the Enterprise Content Management software from OPTIMAL SYSTEMS as an information platform company-wide in both the clinical and administrative areas in order to optimize work processes.

In a first step, solutions for invoice receipt and the digital patient file were implemented. The use of further solutions is also planned for the medium term. These include e-mail archiving and contract management. The software is integrated with KIS ORBIS (AGFA Healthcare) and one2business (FiBu solution, Wilken Entire).

The potential for improvement through streamlining and digital networking of our postal routes alone as well as the increase in efficiency through process optimization are considerable, hence the decision in favor of the ECM system.
