medac Gesellschaft für klinische Spezialpräparate mbH is a medium-sized pharmaceutical company with locations in Hamburg, Wede, and Tornesch as well as branches and sales partners in over 80 countries. The company’s approx. 1,000 employees have been developing, producing, and selling ethical therapeutics and diagnostics for the oncology, hematology, and urology indication areas and to treat autoimmune diseases since 1970.

In order to better meet regulatory requirements and different market demands, the company introduced the enterprise content management system from OPTIMAL SYSTEMS several years ago. Paper-based processes have been mapped to a single IT system. The quality of information assurance, provision, and processing has improved noticeably in all relevant areas, from SOP, deviation, and CAPA through to incoming invoice processing.
