A holistic treatment is the concept of the Hessian special clinic. The digitalisation of work is considered just as holistically, and this has been the case since the early 1990s. At that time, the administrative archive became too large, and considerable effort was required to search for documents. The Heart and Circulatory Center was therefore looking for a digital solution, for archiving, among other things. After an extensive selection procedure, the clinic decided to use the ECM system from OPTIMAL SYSTEMS.

The interface to the patient data management software used and the user-friendliness were particularly convincing. Another decisive factor was the scalability, i.e. the modular structure of the ECM software. Over the years, extensions were added. The advantages of the ECM software quickly became apparent: space savings through digitalization of paper documents, time savings through faster finding of required documents in the central DMS, work relief in the typing office through the elimination of manual work, and much more.
