OPTIMAL SYSTEMS at the DIGITAL FUTUREcongress 2019

With more than 140 exhibitors, 40 talks, and even new workshops on digitalization in medium-sized enterprises, the DIGITAL FUTUREcongress offered CEOs and IT decision-makers an ideal platform to rapidly learn a great deal more about the subject of digitalization. OPTIMAL SYSTEMS was also represented at the trade fair – and for good reason.

As e-billing is becoming widespread, Patrick Kunze from Sales & Partner Management explains how OPTIMAL SYSTEMS simplifies invoice processing at the DIGITAL FUTUREcongress 2019

Level of digitalization at a company has a direct impact on its economic success

In light of the fact that digitalization has been progressing at an increasingly rapid pace, OPTIMAL SYSTEMS enaio® ECM software is the ideal tool for quickly and easily making corporate knowledge available and enabling people to collaborate, anytime and anywhere. The massive crowds at the trade fair, and at our stand in particular, made clear how high the demand for consulting truly is. Andreas Kalz, Director of Sales for Germany, still sees great challenges in digitalization on the road ahead for medium-sized companies: “If you take a look at the individual sectors, you can see a clear pattern: Banks, insurance companies, and IT companies are at the top, while trade, construction, and the service sector still have a lot of catching up to do. This is really unfortunate, because the level of digitalization has a direct impact on how successful a business is.”
Employee satisfaction can also be increased with the right tools and systems. Intelligent and targeted digitalization can sustainably improve the corporate culture and customer relations.

Mixed analog-digital approach will prove costly

Andreas Kalz advises that companies who are rather tentatively jumping on the digitalization bandwagon and testing out partial digitalization in an attempt to save money should instead make bold decisions, because a transition in which data is both manually and digitally processed can be expensive and time-consuming. A high level of digitalization has a directly positive effect on the implementation quality of company processes. Even purely analog processes are often more effective than mixed approaches. However, these companies will be driving themselves down a one-way street in the medium term, because digitalization has simply become a fact of life and will soon become the norm. This means that closely interlinking information sources at an early stage will become essential.
