The Demmin Regional Hospital (Kreiskrankenhaus Demmin GmbH), an institution with over 100 years of history, boasts nearly 200 beds and serves as an acute primary care facility. As the region’s most cutting-edge facility, the hospital offers a complete range of services in the areas of surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and obstetrics. In addition to its Interdisciplinary Critical Care Ward, the hospital facility includes in-patient ENT and urology wards.

When choosing an archiving system, the hospital selected enaio®, the universal, scalable archiving system from OPTIMAL SYSTEMS. enaio® can be deployed as both an administrative and medical records archive in the healthcare field.

enaio®, together with a hierarchical storage model, guarantees audit-proof archiving for an extended time period. All documents from the archive can be searched and quickly accessed at all times and from any location. The comprehensive rights system ensures that the solution is both sustainable and legally compliant, and guarantees that archived data is protected against unauthorized access.

enaio® is used in nearly half of all workstations in the network. The result is a network in which 330,000 pages of documentation are captured and stored in the correct parts of patient files each year. A bidirectional interface was developed in cooperation with AFGA in order to establish the connection with ORBIS so that documents in enaio® are displayed directly as data sets from ORBIS.
