Top employer: FOCUS Business honours OPTIMAL SYSTEMS for the second time!

The business magazine FOCUS Business, together with the career portal kununu, has awarded OPTIMAL SYSTEMS the award “TOP Employer SME 2020”. The award makes us proud and confirms that we are on the right track as an employer. Last year, we had already been awarded the title of Top Employer for SMEs in 2019.

Competition is tough

Corina Mews, Human Resources Manager at the company’s Berlin headquarters, sees the award as a signal to employees and job seekers: “The job market is particularly tough for software companies because they have to recruit the best developers and retain them for the long term. Today, employees expect a lot from their companies. The award as a top employer shows once again that we are doing the right thing”.

Like many other companies, OPTIMAL SYSTEMS has more vacancies than qualified applicants. Karsten Renz, Managing Director and founder of the Berlin-based company, said in a press interview at the beginning of 2019 that he would hire significantly more employees – if there were any.

729 Companies in comparison

To determine the top employers, FOCUS Business evaluated 729 companies from different industries with a number of employees between 11 and 500. The ranking is based on employer evaluations on kununu.com. All evaluation criteria (e.g. salary, work atmosphere and work-life balance) and the entire kununu score were surveyed. Some minimum criteria had to be fulfilled, such as a minimum score of 3.5 stars and a recommendation rate of at least 70 percent.

On the career portal kununu, OPTIMAL SYSTEMS is also listed as “Top Company” and “Open Company”. The complete results are published in the FOCUS magazine.
