Our trainee Patricia will be gaining experience on the international stage over the next few weeks during her internship in London. In this and the next few posts, she tells about her experiences and adventures.

Another week in London is over. I managed to complete the German website project. But the same still had to be done for a French website. But now that I knew how, the whole thing went relatively quickly. Luckily, some of the French texts were already available, so all I had to do was insert them. Thankfully, a French student who is doing an internship in the same company as me helped me translate the rest of the texts. Unfortunately, I’ve managed to forget most of my French over the years…

Towards the end of the week, I was finally given the chance to get a little creative. I was asked to create an email that would then be sent to nurses in Uganda. I had to work with Photoshop for this, which was also good fun. Of course I had some guidelines, but they gave me a lot of freedom for the design and I was able to apply my own ideas.

London’s trendy district of Soho

I still like to spend my weekends sightseeing. Since there is a lot to see in London, it never gets boring and you’re always bound to discover something new. Another highlight of the week was a comedy show in the trendy district of Soho. I’d definitely recommend doing this if you’re ever in London. But British humor is quite different from that of the Germans…

So the first half of my stay in London is over and I have to say that time has passed incredibly fast so far. See you for the next post!
