The VolkswagenStiftung is a non-profit foundation under private law with its head office in Hanover, and the largest of its kind in Germany. The foundation supports science and technology and provides impetus for the development of research and higher education. It can provide stimuli for all scientific fields, and in more than 50 years of its existence a total funding of 4 billion euros supported approx. 30,000 projects.
To improve the processing of funding records and overcome the challenge of growing file volumes, the VolkswagenStiftung decided to work with the enterprise content management system (ECM) from OPTIMAL SYSTEMS. Benefits of the ECM solution are faster access to funding records, a smaller paper trail, well structured and audit-proof archiving, and smooth application workflows.
ECM solutions and scenarios:
- Structured document management and audit-proof archiving
- Microsoft Outlook integration
- Interface for the funding management system of the VolkswagenStiftung
- Capture component for digitizing of paper documents
The Project Consultant says:
“Again that’s the human factor for you: the chemnistry has to be just right – not only in consulting. As a result of four month of trial run, VolkswagenStiftung’s decision for OPTIMAL SYSTEMS is well-rounded.“
