The Münsterland hospital in Bad Rothenfelde decided already in 2000 to have discharge letters automatically generated in order to receive reimbursements as soon as possible. A decisive prerequisite of the hospital has been to integrate existing sub systems into an overall system. All therapy-relevant patient data had to be administered in a digital form and all therapy processes and their scientific evaluation had to be supported.
Communication channels have accordingly been set up to connect the leading ECM system with different clinical sub systems, for example:
- patient management
- appointment management
- nursing documentation
- laboratory system.
All patient records which have been collected in the system are immediately available at any time at any workstation within the hospital’s network, in a complete form including all data from integrated sub systems and possible previous hospital stays of the patient.
Customer quote Klinik Münsterland:
“Lower costs, more quality and more efficiency are the direct and feasible consequences arising from the hospital-wide use of the ECM system by OPTIMAL SYSTEMS at the hospital. Important aspects are less bureaucratic work for employees and therefore a better atmosphere at work. The influence on patient care and therapies is more than positive.”
